Aniversary

It has been one year,
Since we've been together,
And I never thought,
You'd be the whom I'd spend forever.

I wish I could put into words,
Just how I feel,
I wish I could explain,
This strange deal.

Through all of our quarrels,
Through all of our fights,
You are still the one I run to,
On those dark and stormy nights.

There have been others,
Here by my side,
But most of them stabbed me,
Or looked me in the face and lied.
