Dear God,

by Gabba Gabba Hey   Mar 28, 2008

God,

the years have passed
and I have prayed
I have gone to church
and I have given up my sins
through my savior, Jesus Christ
I have loved and respected you
like no other
and you have given me
a beautiful love
a wonderful home
the most amazing children
and the best neighborhood
with the best schools
and you have given me
a job that I consider play
I have followed you,
My dea, Almighty God
I have loved you
so why, God,
did that water break
and sweep away
my wife, my home,
my children, myneighborhood,
my schools, and my job?
Why did you take them away?
I loved them as I did you, Lord
So why were they buried
under six feet of water?

And why, my God,
did you not take me?

Complete submission, total devotion and an innocent question about the miseries of live...beautifully expressed...
The content is poignant...loved reading it.

This poem reflects your pure heart and innocent feelings. Very touching poem.God gives us many things but snatches as well so that we can understand the power of God.we value only those things which we find rarely and which we fear to loose.Trust on God He will return you double in both quantity and quality. All the best. Take care.
