Hollywood Never Feels Right

by brie kelly wise   Mar 28, 2008

Since the day Kacy was born
She danced her way around the world
But sixteen came a little too fast
And we all came to realize innocence never lasts

She threw her blue jeans away
And drove west to LA
It's all just a faze, they say
But I know Kacy and she's there to stay

But I called to tell you
Skills don't get you anywhere, baby girl
Before you know it you forget your lines
So save yourself some grief and come back home
Because for southern girls, Hollywood never feels right

You can always dream of something better
And on stage you can pull out your leather
But before you lose control, write us a letter

But I just called to tell you
Looks seemed to get you a ticket
But before you know it, you're wearing a mask
So save yourself some grief and come back home
Because for small town girls, Hollywood never feels like home
