Only for my Looks

Is there no one out there for me?
i have the lock, but who has the key?
i once heard there was a prettiest girl in the school,
it was i. the one who ruled

it may only take looks for you to see me
but what you see is a coating
under all beauty is a girl who suffers
a girl who cries, and an overwhelming doting

can you people see who and what's there for you?
someone who can make little things, extraordinary
even if its ordinary
love me for my personality, like me for my looks

but i guess this fairytale only lasts in books
and when you see my cover,
don't try and put me down
i had my hopes up, and then u turned around
