Perfection is only an Adjective

We always thinks we live in this
perfect world
with perfect people.
Like a Fairy Tale.

I thought he was perfect.
Austin, my ex-boyfriend.
He made me smile and laugh
and even though we fought.
we loved each other.

Key word: Loved.
It's past-tense.
as in happened before.
And now it's over.

I thought our feelings were perfect.
We expressed our love every day
And He'd call just to say hello.
we loved each other.

And now it's over.
And won't ever happen before.
Our love is gone.
And now he's not coming back

I thought he made my life perfect.
Two months without any real drama.
Two months of dreaming of him
We loved each other.

And now he's not coming back.
I screwed up big time.
But in the process I learned.
Perfection is ONLY and Adjective.

He wasn't perfect.
Our feelings weren't perfect.
And My life wasn't perfect.
but we loved each other.
