Dear Reader

by StandStill   Mar 30, 2008

Dear Reader
this is the last note i will write
because, dear reader,
tonight is my last night

i've got this pretty little gun
i am holding it in my hand
i'm about to give the world what it wants
i'm giving into the demand

i'm ransoming myself
giving up the fight
i've got tears in my eyes
i'm so full of fright

Lord up in Heaven
please hold me warm
help me get to heaven
where i can be safe from harm

Dear reader do me a favor?
tell Daddy not to cry
tell him a bullet to the brain
is an easy way to die

and tell Moma not to hate
i still love her in the end
ask her to forgive me
but for me god did send

tell Brother it's gonna be ok
tell him to be brave
tell him Jesus still loves him
even if i wasn't saved

all that's left now
is one trigger left to pull
maybe this is stupid
but i feel like a brilliant fool

Dear reader, please be smart
try to learn, to see
can you hear them crying?
those mourners cry for me.

Dear reader please be smart
and do not let yourself end
try to learn a lesson from my death
death of a stranger, or perhaps a friend

Wow good thing these words don't include hollow points or I'd have one big hole in me. Emotions are drippping here with each line. I like it and look forward to more good writes.
