I say goodbye to my best friend
and the love of my life
You have said that i am not the one you need
and ask why we cant just go back to the way things used to be
Why cant we go back to being friends
that have always said that we would stick together till the end

But see you do not get it
when you truly love someone with all your heart
things are never the same, and you are never the same
You cant be just friends
you cant just wake up and be happy
you cant just like the things the way they are
You cant just put aside the excruciating pain that you feel inside
I hurt and yearn for you and if i could just forget about all this i would
but when you find the love of your life and realize you are not theirs
you become numb and a whole is left in your heart

so i am sorry it has come to this
i will forever miss you and remember our times together
and will go on loving you till the end
