First Date

I look at you and I see a man, but what I see I do not understand
Though I just met you the other day, I have the urge just to say
How and what if you are the one for me, what if us meeting is our
destiny. So I look deep and deeper into your eyes, wondering if
your my future in descuise. You may not be him for I have looked
around, I have listened for hints but there's no sound. So now I sit
here on a date with you, sipping on my drink and picking at my food.
I sit here wondering if I am wasting my time, but I sit and eat and
pretend everythings fine. Now in your car preparing to leave, I felt
your hand gently touch my knee. I sit and I wonder if I should give
you a chance, because I felt a spark from the touch of your hand.
If I spent the night with you will your respect be gone, if I take off
my clothes will your prepose be done? Or could your hand be the
last that touch my knee, is your place tonight is where I need to be?
Or are you like the rest I encountered before, who has lied to me and
now I will forever ignore. But yet could be a gentleman who'll treat
me right, but we will find out but just not tonight.
