No Ordinary Valentine's Day

by StuPiD FrEaK   Mar 31, 2008

Funny, I thought, when Valentine's Day approached
I arrived in my class to see my classmates smile
Receiving flowers and gifts from people who broach
Most were jealous to get nothing; almost made them cry

I expect nothing because I know no one cared
That was what I thought before he gave me those sweets
I just laughed but somewhere inside me, I got scared
I thought about the times he suffered from my mistreats

I asked him why bother to give me those
He just kept avoiding me
It made me think what he really wanted to show
What he plans, I must foresee

I never expect to end my Valentine's Day
Accepting a rose from such a stupid guy
Candies and roses and running away are weird ways
But at least I can say he tried..

This poem was a bit confusing for me. It said one thing and then quickly transitioned to another leaving me lost. I liked what you had to say but your thoughts were jumbled. I advise you to read over and organize your thoughts on this one because it has the potential to be a great poem. *4/5*
