And Then There was Nothing

by Hali Cararnza   Mar 31, 2008

As the stars go by
In the dead of night
She walks with fear
And cries her tears

She suddenly vanishes into a sea of dreams
And realizes everything isn't what it seems
The trees would laugh and grass would snicker
The sun would cry and the clouds would whimper

Then the colors started to fade
She couldn't tell if it was night or day
Only white, black, and gray
No colors, hues or shades

Day or night she couldn't tell
She wanted to scream, shout and yell
No more sun, trees or grass
She knew this wouldn't last

She herself was starting to fade
Fade into the night or maybe day
This was it the end of her life
She thought I guess now it's time to die

First there was something
And then there was nothing
