Havoc in the Treetops

by Indian Comma Bean   Apr 1, 2008

She wears a leafless crown,
No longer laden with gentile Lotus,
As feathered friends come to comfort,
She weeps; Honey dripping from crystal eyes.

Her leafed gown, brown; Withering,
Crisp and rustling in torpid winds.
She slowly strokes it,
Choking back painful memories.

Nature's fireworks unleashed,
Fury rained upon burdened trees.
As oaken towers moan in pain,
Inhabitants flee; Panic.

Unrelenting tears caress
her swollen cherry cheeks,
As she sits in her afflicted throne,
Alone in her kingdom of despair.
