The New Dawn Arives

by Cainer   Apr 1, 2008

Times almost up
Its always darkest before the dawn
Its at this time i feel most at home in
The time when night is almost done
But daylight has yet to break upon the horizon

Its at this time i lay awake in bed thinking
Thinking of yesterdays blunders
And of the coming days splendors
Its at this time i am thankful for another day
For at least i will see another sunrise

Patient i wait for the coming light
Its teasing me with its dancing raze
Over the hills it breaks upon the lawn
Soft warm light baths another beautiful day
With it a sense of hope returning to me

At the moment i feel the heat cresses my face
I know that no matter what happen the day before
The new dawn brings with it a hope
The reality is that yesterday is gone
Washing away with it the mistakes it encased
