Ashamed

I look into his eyes
Deep into his soul
I can see everything
All the sorrow
His eyes used to sparkle
So beautiful they were
Then something happened
And the sparkle was no more
It gave me comfort
I always felt safe
Looking deep into those eyes
Was my escape
Now he feels guilty
Doesn't believe he deserves my love
He knows he hurt me
I know what he did was wrong
It tears me apart deep down inside
If only that other girl would commit suicide
My trust is destroyed once again
But my love for him will never end
I love him dearly
Never want to walk away
I have always believed him
And that will never change
What really hurts most of all
Is to see the pain he shows
And how I never see that sparkle in his eyes
