The lonely flower

I saw a flower in my yard
it stuck out of the crowd
it was pink but the rest were red

in this field of flowers
the pink one stood alone
there were none sitting by it
no one it could hold

if you listened carefully
you could almost hear it cry
for this flower was so lonely
with no one by its side
