The Last prisoner

these last few weeks have been cold and grey
everyone around me has gone away
i am the last of the tormented, the dammed
the 1st of a dying breed, the last prisoner
The ghost of the others still linger and scream
In my eyes always will it be real, but yet i pray its but a dream
The walls of my cell twist and turn, to their every will
slowly encasing me in what seems a tomb, yet i lay perfectly still
The pain and suffering is all my eyes will ever see
The young child i was, will be but a memory
i mark another day into my walls, seems like so long now
feeling the cursed breath of the reaper
i know my time is but short, my heart sinks a bit deeper

summoned to his chamber, i await his decision
the judge, jury and executioner are all the same
only one man decides my fate, says your to blame
He says you have but one way out, and you know what it is....
I am truly sorry for the things Ive done in my past
I don't deserve this fate, i don't deserve to die....
the sudden realization of my feelings, the reason i have to die
is not for my crimes, its for the passions behind them
all the bullets i said to people, all the lies i created
this false world that i live in slowly falls apart and crumbles

Too long now, Have they have kept me here, all alone
forgetting what its like to have human touch, the feel of love
As my mind slowly sinks into the dark abyss of insanity
i try and remember good times, but alas none come
my ears deceive me i hear a voice
talking as if real, my only company in the dark and grey
The last thing any one will recall
was the night They broke my spirits, the night i gave in
They took my heart and crushed my soul
My life force slowly lets go
One more mark on the walls, they tiwst and turn
forming to be knew once again, forever am i trapped
forever will i be the last prisoner
