Come to Me

by Sage   Apr 2, 2008

Oh baby, come with me
Where you can paint to my poetry
We’ll swim through oceans
And dive in lakes
Come here baby
And we’ll plant snow-kissed blossoms
Pick ‘em when they’re old
I’ll do whatever it takes
My heart is sold

We can dance through moonbeams
And sweep up their dust
Undisturbed we shall live
Sharing pure lust

We’ll smear the crystal of time
And shatter it in two
Oh we’ll break it’s immortality
As we taunt its reality

Come with me baby
And the whole world we’ll explore
Combing through the distant stars
Like incandescent fireflies eating up Desire’s core

What a joy to lick curled blades of grass
Then we can fall asleep under the wind
Before it picks us up

But you’re not falling for my poetry
You’re not swimming through the water
Moonbeams never shined for you
The blossoms didn’t bloom
You just stole my heart away
And put it up to slaughter

So wear your colored hat
Wear your sweet perfume
I’ll live alone, my heart is my own
‘Cause young love never lasts forever.
