Nights are seeming shorter
Days hold so much pain
Years are so much longer
When you're dancing in the rain.

Minutes seem like hours
Seconds seem like forever
But time passes by so fast
Whenever we're together.

The only times of happiness
And joy and good tears
Are times when days with you
Seem like an endless year.

Nights are seeming darker
Days are turning colder
Storms will go on for longer
As my love for you grows stronger
And our faces grow older.

But within all the happiness and joy
There's loneliness and so much pain
And when you're on your lonesome and pushing me away,
I feel like crying and screaming and going insane, but...

I can't because changing the direction of the winds
Is like changing the seasons, from winter to spring
Like changing the contents of a heart
Or changing the fact that we're being torn apart.
