Secondhand Goods

by Was cut by a knife that said love   Apr 2, 2008

You ruined my life,
But I don't think you realize it
The truth couldn't be any closer to your face
The truth about how I feel about you and your wife

Honestly, I have never liked her or you
I'm just your guys built in dishwasher
Supposed to have no attitude, no voice at all
A robot that does what you want it to

You tell me what makeup I can and can't wear
When I can and I can't cry
Who I love and who I don't
How much skin I can tare

I have to sit a certain way,
I can't talk the way I talk
I can't be a normal teenager
I have to be perfext every day

Don't you see?
How I have no room to move?
No room to grow?
How you are suffocating me?

Dad, you can't protect me from life
Give me room, let me make decisions
And mistakes on my own
And just let me have a teenage life
