You can not understand that you dont own me.

by sarah debrincat   Apr 3, 2008

Feeling caged
and alone,
in this place
i once called home.

i try to leave
you hold me back..
and keep pushing me
in the same tracks.

you can not understand,
that you dont own me.

every time i try to fly
your the one
praying that i fall.

I'm sorry that i dint
live up to your expectations.
but its as if you've put me
on probation.

you can not understand,
that you dont own me.

you force me into things
you know i dint want to do,
but its OK,
as long as there's money for you.

I'm crying for help,
but know one can hear me..
whats this? you have cut of my voice too?

you can not understand,
that you dont own me!

Repetition is rly effective-just a question-is "you dint own me" throughout supposed to be "you DONT own me" or was that purposeful???

but nonetheless, this poem was great!

I can relate. But at the end of the day its your life, and who you are and what you do is up to you. Just choose the path that will make you happy.
