Haunting Memories

by Orchid Man   Apr 3, 2008

Today you told me you had another love and it hurt me badly
Out of the blue you told me another man had come between us
This love of ours had suddenly become tainted and my heart sank
I fought against my torn and battered feelings and for a while I cried.

Yet my love we are made of stronger feelings and this love is paramount
Instead of walking out of your life I realised you are my life and I need you
Without your love I feel as though the sphere we call Earth will cease revolving
Then all love will end not only for you and me, but for every living person.

We both know about our love throughout a distant time, a time lost to us
When you spoke, the sound of your voice brought memories flooding back
Memories of a time we were two lovers enmeshed in a silken web of ecstasy
I know I need to embellish you with that love once again and win you back.

Darling you retain that natural beauty I always said you lovingly possessed
As I look at you in awe I see that aura surrounding you like a rainbow from heaven
To be here in your presence is a rare gift that other men would openly wish for
Yet against all you have chosen me again and my heart swells with a loving pride.

Now we are together again though we are to take our love a little more slowly
There may always be times when things could seem to be a little different than before
But, I give you my solemn promise you are in my every thought and before any other
Together we can do anything and no one will ever stand in our way ever again.
