Journey of a Mislead Mind

This certainty blinds me-
my soul is filled with dread
I should have never come back
I know that now.
I know that with sad certainty.
I should have stayed there
where I was safe
this child within me can sense it too
he kicks so hard
I am doubled over in pain
the baby can feel the danger,
I can feel the danger
this darkness oppresses me
I cannot look
But I can feel their eyes
the eyes of the Dark Man
The eyes of his children
Why did I leave my hom?
How I wish I had not come

My love, I came for my love
following the ripples of his boat
there is a fire in the distance
more boats
the Dark Men's children
and there I see him
my love, my husband, my life
part of their circle around the fire
staring into orange flames
how could i have not known he was a Child?
I cannot breath
as his face turns towards me...
