Fading

by Midnight   Apr 4, 2008

Slowly she's drowning
In the silence of her friends
Falling away from reality
Going into an eternal darkness
Never to return
As the cuts get deeper
My blood gets redder
Slowly she's fading
Into something no one can recognize
An uncontrolled monster is emerging
Making her smaller and smaller
Everyone’s starting to forget the girl they once knew
Now instead of loud and obnoxious
She's getting quieter and more to herself
Hardly anyone sees the happy, loud, obnoxious girl they used to know
Now all they get is something that's not her
Something they don't like
So now instead of trying to fix it
They're leaving her to fade away
Desperately she tries to hang on
Starting to fail she sees that no one cares
So why try when there'll be no effect?
Now she just takes life's blows as they come
Letting them pull her away
When she's gone no one will notice
Maybe once in a while they'll think of her
And wonder what happened to her
But they'll never truly care
Not if they're lives depended on it
They're too busy with the friends they've had since they were little
Too bad the friends she had when she was little
Either forgot about her or turned into something that wasn't good
Oh well soon she'll be gone so it won't matter anymore
