Nietzsche

by sibyllene   Apr 4, 2008

Grass,
to flourish, must co-
-operate. No slice of green
must stretch too much
above its brethren; the result
is a woven furry fabric, co-
ordinated, soft
safe.

Trees,
to flourish, must
strive. They must
yearn, they must
want, they must
take. All glory is
selfishness
and
selfishness
becomes
glory.

    Wow...
I really admire your poetry. You are always able to convey the message on such powerful and effective way. This poem is very captivating, profound and descriptive. I like the details in both stanza. The flow with broken lines is truly interesting and original. Overall, this is very refreshing write, different from anything I've read before.
    Amazingly done.

OK....it's Nietzsche all right....in all his massively high functioning adolescent glory....but...I bet it's not you....you are evolving so quickly and so very well....Nietzsche wouldn't know what to do with you....

    Poignant words.

Selfishness is often underrated in terms of how glorious it is.

Thank you for personifying trees. :)
