Bruises and Fears

There once was a girl
so little and fray
with bruises and scratches
all over her skin.

Everyday she would cry
as she sat alone
just waiting for her father
to come home.

She waited silently
in her room
knowing he would be there
oh so soon.

And all too soon
the fatal blow came
as she stumbled
upon the floor.

She screamed and cried
out in pain
knowing her life
looked very slim.

Te final blow came
and she closed her eyes
knowing it was
for the final time.

And now a once happy girl
lies in her room
dead on the floor.

*If you read this, nd do not like it.. I am sorry.. Child abuse is happening all over the world.. If you can find it in your hearts.. please wear Blue during April.. Support Blue Ribbon month.. help stop child abuse.. before it is too late..*

    Wow. This is so sad. I wish that I could help ppl that go through this everyday. This is really sad. I liked the story the the base of it all but I think that if u made it longer than it would sound better. Like who, what, when, where, and WHY. I think that u answered most of those except 4 the y. Y was the father hitting her, and y was she sitting waiting 4 him. Y was it this time she died? I mean those were the questions that were going through my head and I think that if u talked a little more about it than it would be better. But don't get me wrong cuz I still like it. It's a very good poem. =)

    WOW! oh my gosh!!!! TIFFY...HUN...I LOVE THIS POEM. *starts to cry a little*...this poem is so sad. Nobody should ever have to go through that. I was abused as a child and finally I couldn't take it anymore so I told my grandparents and they called the authorities and they came to the house and took me away, I now live with my aunt and uncle and it's been 10 years. Wow this poem deserves much more then a 5.!
