Happy Reunion

by Orchid Man   Apr 4, 2008

Long, long ago beyond our knowledge of time
Two souls waited - both searching for a reason
Each wandering aimlessly through the lonely hours
Then suddenly for an unknown cause -
they met without knowledge of their meeting.

That long wait of a million hours passed
The blending of their thoughts came together
Like the leaves of flowers to their stems
Simply one perfect being - a perfect whole
Ending that long night; blending as one.

Sweetheart my love, I raised my eyes and saw you
A magical moment of recognition came to me
What beauty of vision stood innocently before my eyes?
A beauty so rare yet magnificent of body and stature.

We spoke with different accents with perfect understanding
It seemed as though I had heard your words before
Words that remained within me haunting my memory
I stood before you in my innocence yet longing for you.

How cruel had been that fate of time - eras long lost
Yet somehow now you were here once more; soothing me
No more graceful a woman had I beheld before
My distant love, shining like a beacon of pure sunlight.

I had walked alone through countless years of time
Enmeshed in a web of total darkness and dismal despair
Exciting, endearing moments were those with thoughts of you
The tears I shed were many and were cried often.

But now my dearest love I had looked up and found you
A rare, beautiful lady moulded by our Lord God
The closer I walked towards you in happiness
The more the heavens sang with the voices of Angels.

Sweetheart, we were together again and in continued love
Innocently you made as if not to see me looking at you
Yet I could see the recognition mirrored in your eyes
As if to say Tony, I too have been hurting so much.

In his wisdom, God had worked his own magic for us
A fairer sight of womanhood I had never seen since you left
We stood together in a field of beautiful clover
Flowering by the loving will of our Lord above in heaven.

Time did not dull my love for you nor my loving memories
At each moment I had spent alone and away from your side
Your face remained within my eyes and you in my thoughts
I have missed your touch so much, but now you are here.
