Open Your Eyes, Dear Reader...Darkness

by Curing the Comon Cliche   Apr 4, 2008

See it move
Darkness races
Pitch black vale
Night embraces

See the dark
Useless eyes?
Useless body?
~Paralyzed?~

Darkness moving
All around
Go to scream
Make no sound

Can not move
Dark everywhere
Do you know
If your even there?

Nothing to see
Total eclipse
Muted screams
From chapped lips

Is it just darkness
A metaphor?
Not just black
Something more

What is it, dear reader?
Depression? Regret?
I can see the darkness coming
Cause it's not here yet

Light thinks it travels faster than anything but it is wrong. No matter how fast light travels, it finds the darkness has always got there first, and is waiting for it. ~Terry Pratchett
