The Window

by Jessica   Apr 4, 2008

I look out the window
THe clouds are turning grey
The atmosphere is gloomy
It is such a broken day

I look out the window
The rain is pouring down
I listen to the raindrops fall
They make a redundant sound

I look out the window
The clouds drift away
A frown forms apon my face
I wish for them to stay

I look out the window
The sun is shining through
I prefer the sun to shine
Than live with so much gloom

I look out the window
On such a lovely day
I can't help but think that
Everything will be okay

Simplicity is the soul of a good write. Some poets like to take away the sharp edges of a wordy poem and find more beauty in a more simplistic one, that can create more ripples in the water. More than other poems, because it can reach a broader . Just fix some of the punctuation, and this will be good.
