Ode To Procrastination

by Kelvin Masi   Apr 4, 2008

Mere mortals crush to finish things
will leave no stone unturned,
While great artists (on higher wings) know finished things get spurned.

The finest works of history reveal how true fame's won:
Time clearly proves that it must be by leaving things undone!

Thus the Monalisa lacks a smile;
The Eiffel has no walls;
The Parthenon's a roofless pile of posts and empty halls.

Great symphonies, unfinished yet, a sphinx that's faceless still, should give folks pause before they fret about "our lack of will!"

So just this once i'll raise my muse and let true art be served....

    I chuckled at the "end" in a most satisfied manner! Marvelous stuff!
