Night Stroll

by tri tran   Apr 4, 2008

I meander in the bleak vortex of autumn,
Listening to the melody, within me;
My lungs, happy hummingbirds, whistle;

I smear the sky with turquoise paint
For the lonely comets to sail home;
My soul, promptly, leaps onto a cloud for a short trip.

I mottle the sad night with magenta stars,
Longing to lick their dripping honey.
My tiny galaxy, scintillating with joy.

I sing love lullabies for the young wrens,
Watching them fold up their tired wings to sleep;
My heart , a drummer, in endless bliss.

I, a poet, sink deep to the tranquil base of an ocean.

    This is just wonderful. Such a vivid and rich choice of phrasing. A poetic high!
