Stockholm Syndrome

by Beautiful Forever   Apr 4, 2008

"No! Stop! Don't take me away!"
"Why don't you listen to what I say?"
My pulse is racing against my life,
My eyes keep focusing on his knife,

"Please let me go, I don't want to die"
"Can't you see you're making me cry?"
His heart is beating faster then mine,
But his faces shows that he's fine,

"Where are we now? Who are you?"
"Can't you see what you put me through?"
Although he's silent he seems sad,
I wonder what caused him to go bad?

"It's ok, I won't leave your side"
"If you have rules, I'll abide"
I was expecting his smile to be vacant,
But his face seems rather complacent,

"This could be a stupid incision"
"But was this really your decision?"
He turned to me and let out a groan,
It looked as if he was trying to atone,

I took his hand and smiled slightly,
He smiled too and squeezed tightly,
"This isn't your fault, not at all"
"I'm sorry to put you in this thrall"

The next few hours seemed like forever,
Lost in such a confusing endeavor,
But in the end I fell for this man,
Even though it wasn't part of the plan...
