I can't move on

by Pauly D.   May 24, 2004

Trying to let go, when it was holding me up,
I'll watch as it leaves, wondering what's next.
Things will fade away, drift and die,
leaving a mark, one that was once good.

Echoes of the past, bouncing through my mind,
Results so hapless, now nothing new.
Schemes deployed, breaking things up,
Distant hopes, resurfacing memories.

Looking for a reason, to let myself move on,
Searching for an opportunity, trying to fill a void.
Remnants of the times, fulfilling the drive,
Reality sinking in, she's gone and not coming back.

Been there! It's like your whole life revolves around that certain person, EVERY LITTLE THING.
    Great job.
