The Butterfly and the Bird

by likethewind   Apr 5, 2008

How does the graceful butterfly,
So quickly spread his wings?
And like the bluebird, flies away,
But alas, he does not sing.

The butterfly and the bird,
Though mortal enemies be.
Both soar and fly into the clouds,
So many similarities.

They both share grace and elegance,
And beauty undenied.
Yet so different they both are.
But Mother Nature has been kind.

They are unique within themselves,
Yet are so much alike.
Just like yourselves and other, too
We are so quick to strike.

The different and the special ones,
Who truly are unique.
Are the one’s who become ridiculed,
And become obsolete.
