Sweet innocence, she used to smile,
And steal your breath for quite a while,
Now dropping acid in your heart,
When seeing virtue fall apart.
It hurts to look at something ruined,
Knowing it was once so fair,
Little stains of her perfection,
Knowing you were blissful there.
And she is crying tears of tar,
When there was laugher in her eyes,
Her purity devoured by life,
Blindly forced to face goodbyes.
Another pill, another day,
You watch her innocence rod away.
What darling bliss of ignorance,
Levitating there beside her,
She descended to a place,
Where she can’t hear you, you can’t find her.
Carelessly the cavity,
Consumed unguarded Angel,
Turning darker by the day,
Dramatically destroyed.
The diamonds in her eyes,
Blackening and aching,
Lacking credibility,
So incomplete, so void.
And she is crying tears of tar,
When there was laugher in her eyes,
Her purity devoured by life,
Blindly forced to face the lies.
Another cry, another day,
You watch her innocence rod away.
