Eyes words

We spent this night together,
you held me close, & let me wear your clothes.
We spoke about us, we spoke about others.
you were speaking, but your eyes were telling me something different.
I saw inside them, a glimpse of what you were meaning to say.
A certain sentence i was hoping for you to just say, & not hold it back any longer.
I knew after your pause, this was it.
We were it,
We were coming to an end
Two people once in love, now no longer knew what we wanted.
But it's easier for the other to say it, because you knew it all along, but were too fragile to shout the words out.
And to break a lovers heart, is a crime.
An experience that stays with you in every relationship.
