Why not now?

What was i thinking?
how stupid can i be?
to actually think my smile would last
that my happy side was eventually free

i started smiling, meaning it as well!
but it was only too good to be true
because then my smile faded
as in my head i saw you

wishing you could be here
to put the smile back on my face
you used to be able to do it, why not now?
oh wait, they took my smile with you to some other strange place!
