Flaming soul like dry wood to fire
Arms and legs weaken at the very fall
Head so heavy it sways with each step
Pride once so big now so small

Rusted chains weigh down the body
Quicksand underneath each foot
Eyes shine like silver ice
Heart as dark as the blackest soot

Something courses through the veins
Pulling it deeper inside
Pain pulsing right to the bone
Like water to a tide

Depression overflows the bucket
Spilling over the rim and to the floor
Forced to the knees roughly
Bleeding to death from each sore

Rain begins to fall from above
Washing away the memories of yesterday
Picture frames on the bare walls
Replace the words you couldnt say
