My African Orchid

by Orchid Man   Apr 7, 2008

Did God send you to me on this lovely day?
Were birds singing their delightful songs?
Somehow, as if by some magical hand
You were there and I was caught in your silken web.

Countless years you were there, yet I could not see
Neither you, nor your beauty, simply lost to my eyes
Yet now you are here, you are real and alive
I am calm once more and in love.

You have a home in my beating heart
My mortal life has been enhanced a million fold
No precious stone could shine more brightly
Than the beams that reach out from you.

Whenever you are there talking to me
My body and thinking are filled with happiness
Oh my Orchid, you are so beautiful in my mind
Your perfection is indeed a treasure from God.

With you in my life I am a better man
At my side you constantly renew my strength
Each time you leave me my body freezes and aches
There appears an unexplainable pain in my chest.

It is as though you are the lifeline to my very life
Whenever you speak I long for every word
I know I shall never tire of your love
What a wonderful gift Heaven has given me.

There is a magical mystery within you
Also within, is an exciting woman ready to be unleashed
By my side you are gradually sharing yourself
Darling - please don't ever change - no never!
