Microsleep

by Arunansu   Apr 7, 2008

Bus terminus,
fussy pockets, speedy wheels,
my nodding eyes.

Office hours,
hurried meetings,
inconsequential talks.

Eons escape
my cavernous mouth,
curious eyes interrogate.

Occasional silence
stirs me up, words fumble,
preachy baritones thunder.

Sundown hues
return me to my habitat
of staying awake.

I remain lip-locked
with castle in the sky, until
the pending jerks.
