Once upon a fairy tale

by kookie   Apr 7, 2008

Once upon a fairy tale
there lived a girl so sweet
guys and girls all worshiped her
dancing at her feet

she lived a life that people died for
consiterd to be heaven
she was the perfect nobody
who became the perfect legend

once upon a fairy tale
she was the only one
but now she's lost in broken dreams
of what she can become

at night she cry's her self to sleep
wishing she was dead
dreaming of the fairy tale
she's locked inside her head

once upon a fairy tale
i didn't hate my life
but fairy tales are fake
so again i grab this knife

Hi. You know i read through this poem a couple of times, and i must say for once i was surprised by a poem written by one as young as yourself, the only unsurprising part is the self harm part. Almost every teen on this site seems to write about it and i think its been done to death. I think the quality of your writing is excellent compared to many on this site, and other than a couple of spelling and grammatical mistakes your poem seemed to be well thought out and beautifully written.
