The concealed girl

by lisa   May 24, 2004

This is the girl that had not such a good life but very lovely hands,
Although nice was treated horribly by many of those she knew,
She tried to keep calm, tried to stay happy each day as she grew.
She had bruises and scratches up and down each leg,
These she covered with her tights which brought pain with every thread,
She had spots on her forehead which, like a secret, her fringe kept sealed,
She was hit by her dad, bullied by her classmates as many of her scars revealed.
This is the girl that had not such a great life but very lovely hands
Her eyes were quite rare, one blue one green, these she covered with her glasses quite dirty, never clean.
Her clothes were all scruffy, most stained and torn but good enough to hide her back which was now out worn
But despite all o0f these bad things the girl knew as she would grow, she would always have her lovely hands which were the only things on show!
