Crowded Room I Call Love

by Curing the Comon Cliche   Apr 8, 2008

Heart breaks like glass
But feels cold as stone
Standing in this crowded room
Standing, perfectly alone

Others dance by
Little pairs of two
Loneliness is killing me
Along with thoughts of you

Breanne, should I explain?
Not a generous thing to do
Giving away bad feelings
Emptiness to you?

Broken records tell me
It'll be all right
I can not believe them
Well, at least not tonight

I'm sorry I can't write
Sorry this poem's not good
I don't believe this feeling
Is one that should be understood

So I'm gonna end the poem
Hard to say goodbye
The poem's hardly finished
But I won't even try

It's hard to write a sad one
When your smile's all I see
No, it makes it more sad
You'll never be in this room with me

"
So this is strange,
our sidestepping has come to be a brilliant dance
where nobody leads at all,
where nobody leads at all. "
