Last Words

by Dyinginvain   Apr 8, 2008

Staring at the snow lit moon
Hearing the forest whispering in thy ear
Of what will becoming soon
For everyone far and near

With a blank stare
I look deep into the thick dark forest
As I listen to the river that runs in it
As I listen to thy blood that runs in these veins
Like an animal running through the plains
Not hunting nor fleeing but just running

Gripping thy sword which was passed to me
Holding tight to the shield that was forged for me
Thy armor that was created by a noble man
And thy blessed crossed to guide me

From the north and south lie two powers
From the east and west will join them
Together they will bring doom to humanity
But I, well meet them at the center of alignment
I will meet them and bring hope to mankind

For I glance back at thy beloved Rebecca
And thy bloodline
For I am not fighting for myself nor them
But for all who believe in me

With thy sword will being thee power of thy father
With thy shield will protect thee from all that is ahead
With thy armor I shall no longer fear
With thy cross will bring light through the darkness

As I stare deep in the thick forest
Knowing what lies ahead is not good
But evil and dark
I take one last glance at thy beloved

I look towards the frozen ground
As thy breathe withers away
One last pray to god
One last I love you

With all that I have
I will fight till I fight no more
I will fight till the lord tells me no
