Evaporate me

by Empty Space   Apr 8, 2008

After the love has gone,
we sit and reminisce,
where did our lives go,
we've lost the plot.

sixteen years of love,
bound by a wedding ring,
we could have been someone,
we could have been something.

so I pour myself some wine,
and I reflect on,
what we shared together,
and we lost along the ride.

what's gonna happen?
for how long,
how long,
will you be gone?
what's gonna happen?
sad song,
sad songs,
I play on the stereo.

Evaporate me.

marriage is a vampire,
it sucks the youth right out of me,
how did you two stick together,
forcing us to set us free,
complicated constellations,
making me feel down and out,
take my neck and strangle me,
I have failed without a doubt.
