Which One is More Human

by Gabba Gabba Hey   Apr 8, 2008

Grazing in a pasture above the loch
and looking over the valley
the sheep think nothing of the past
nor do they ponder the future
the only thing they are
thinking, doing, saying
everything they see, is now.

The horses galloping freely
playing with eachother
they only think of now
they have no past
as they know nothing of a future
like the sheep,
they live in the moment

A human, sitting on a porch
watching the horses gallop,
watching the sheep graze
he is thinking of the past
and cannot forget the future
somehow looking forward to the past...
The human is not playful, he is weary

Savage Garden- a wonderful song
it leaves the human thinking
'Animals and children
tell the truth, they never lie
which one is more human
there's a thought,
now you decide.'

This poet girl is pondering things, I am always delighted for intelligent people.

Yes, you have said right things.. We human have a lot of knowledge, but this knowledge does not necessarily make us the happiest species in this world. Having knowledge can make us feel more pain. But, one famous philosopher said "I prefer more to be an unhappy philosopher than a happy donkey." :)
