I wish

I see a shooting star
As I sit here in the grass
When I start to think of a wish
All that comes to mind is

I wish you were mine
I wish that I could kiss you
I wish that I could hold you in my arms
I wish that I could see you smile once again

But as I am wishing
For all of these things for me
I realized that maybe
What you want and what I want
Are two different things
So I take back my wishes
And I wish again

I wish for you to be happy
I wish for you to find someone to love
I wish for someone to put that sweet smile on your face
I wish for you to find someone
Who will love you as much as I do

No matter how much I want you back
I will keep it to myself
I will keep wishing for you to be happy
And for you to find that special someone
Who will love you like you should be loved
