Beside the Curb

by Indian Comma Bean   Apr 9, 2008

With my nose pressed
Up against the window,
I watch as Angel's tears
Fall from the sky; But I am happy.

Dancing and I am laughing,
Even though the clouds are gray,
You can find me out there,
Splashing in murk beside the curb.

The trees are leafless
And the animals are tucked away,
The Windows are shut
And the cars slowly disappear.

It's magical and mysterious,
Here one minute, gone the next;
Side to side as it loves to sway,
I'd take rain over any other day.
