Goddamn these Silent Lives

by Cam M   Apr 9, 2008

Goddamn these Silent Lives
For the rest is Naught, but Dust
And Goddamn these Pointless Ruminations
Filling the headspace with Shameless Lust

Rhythmical Disjointed Appendage
Stands Naked against the sky
Such a flimsy, Cobbled Webwork
Pulsating, ebbing, leaking, neofluorescent dye

These moments have meant Nothing
These moments Sap my Life
If one thing was veritably broken
Rest Assured, it was my trust.

After reading "Resonance" I felt compelled to investigate your work further. This poem is much more "my cup of tea". As I read it for a second time I see a cityscape of bourgeois capitalism set against feelings of regret and dissonance.

This may not be what you intended at all. And for that, it is all the better. A highly enjoyable read.

Such strong emotion and vivid a creation of your feelings in this piece. your words literally scream at the reader, very good write.
