Finally free

by Jeremy Lewis   Apr 9, 2008

Hate stabs me in the back.

as old friends grow sour and new ones too ripe.

I'm just a kid that wants out of the spotlight,

With everyone wanting control,

but I'm left alone trying to still sprout wings,

and finally be free.

When they say just be me,

they mean an empty shell in misery,

who can't hear or see.

This i won't be, but i will be free.

There's only one girl i can trust,

but she herself will only lust,

as she drowns me in her world of terror,

and i have to try and be strong for her,

or she dissappears to leave me in hate and fear.

My life is like glass and is already broken into pieces,

as one by one, each piece cuts deeper in.

Soon the day will come, when my heart is cut out,

and I am dead,

Maybe then will each group be happy,

and have their own piece of me,

so they will all be pleased,

while I am out, finally free.
