Orchid of mine

by Orchid Man   Apr 9, 2008

At night I sit here alone thinking of you and the loneliness we both share, yet blossom
Almost constantly your nearness, yet isolation, turns my happiness into a deep want
I now know through distance and time your voice attempts to conquer many barriers
Yet must retain a silence to appease the many difficulties we both daily face.

My African orchid you remain the fairest flower; always living deep inside my heart
You will ever live within my soul and no endless day will pass without your love touching me
This Deja Vu we share strengthens my resolve to have you here beside me once more
Your face alone is so haunting and my tears for you are very real and adorn my cheeks.

This common bond we share is stronger than a stormy sea and brings calmness to us
As I sit here I see that perfect sculpture of your face with its haunting green eyes and smile
That smile turns me into a dizziness of hope and longing, for without you my life is worthless
Beautiful orchid could you speak; that haunting voice would hold me spellbound with its innocence.

Together we dream of a time shared so many years ago when happiness united our future hopes
The thinly veiled darkness of lives spent without the other were held at bay by our resoluteness of love
Our single-mindedness of our need for each other would allow no guest of pretence to come between us
My love remember this, you really are here with me - your encompassing arms bring great comfort.

For now my love our fleeting moments must live with us and continue to comfort and strengthen our happiness
As you sleep in the silence of your night I promise to be there beside you providing my love and protection
The joy you shower upon me contains hope, love, understanding, need and many other wonderful qualities
When I call out to you, to simply know you are there is a blessing only my African orchid can provide
