Empty Eyes

by Miss Jassy   Apr 9, 2008

Emptiness took over her eyes
As she turns and looks at the sunrise.
Her heart torn out and thrown to the floor,
Wishing he would haunt her no more.
Slowly she gets of bed, looking red,
Longing for her heart to be fed.
She walks along the halls that day,
The emptiness made her want to pray.
It made her want to ask questions like, why?
She hated the lonely days that went by.
Several thoughts fly through her head,
She sits and cries and thinks of the dead.
Wondering, why not her instead?
The words "I'll love you forever" creep through her mind.
Oh, the things she would do to press rewind.
